Experience training like an Army Ranger with the Army Ranger Fitness app. This app offers the Ranger Athlete Warrior (RAW) training program, a specialized physical training program developed by the Army specifically for Rangers.

The main objective of RAW is to optimize the physical and mental development of individual Rangers, ensuring they achieve a level of fitness that aligns with the demanding requirements of Ranger missions. In addition to physical fitness, RAW emphasizes sound nutritional practices, mental toughness skills, and injury prevention and treatment.

The concept for RAW originated from the Ranger human performance initiative. It was developed with three objectives in mind:

<ol>
 <li>Control Injuries: The goal is to prevent injuries while improving performance. For instance, incorporating strength and movement skills training instead of excessive distance running can reduce the risk of lower extremity stress injuries while enhancing strength and movement performance.</li>
 <li>Improve Performance: RAW focuses on constant improvement, building upon the Ranger tradition of exceptional physical performance.</li>
 <li>Standardize Ranger PT: While each battalion may have slight variations in their physical training, overall capabilities across the Regiment should be similar.</li>
</ol>

To achieve these objectives, the Regimental Medical Section collaborated with military and civilian performance experts. The RAW development team conducted a pilot study with a platoon from 3-75 in January 2006. The latest version, RAW 4.0, was introduced in 2011.
